Review Methodology
Every piece of hardware we review is tested hands-on in a real homelab environment. We run actual workloads, measure real performance, and live with the hardware before scoring it. No spec-sheet reviews, no borrowed benchmarks — just honest results from our rack to yours.
The Rack Score
Each product is scored across five dimensions, each rated 1–5. The scores are summed into a single Rack Score out of 25. Here are the five dimensions:
Capability, speed, and throughput under real workloads.
Price-to-performance ratio and overall bang for your buck.
Build quality, form factor, and thermals.
Feature set, connectivity, and expandability.
Reliability, longevity, and fit and finish.
